Born in North Carolina and raised on Oak Island, Captain Robert is both a full-time charter captain and a commercial fisherman that has been fishing the Cape Fear region and Atlantic Ocean since 2005. Captain Robert has taken hundreds of people fishing in southeastern, NC. Filled with passion for the ocean and for fishing, Captain Robert has fished the waters from Nag Heads, NC to the Florida Keys, along with Mexico and the Bahamas. He has learned his craft from top charter and commercial captains and also a few local fishing legends. Robert is the also a part-time captain and mate of the “Chips-A-Hoy” fishing team, a local King Mackerel Tournament team. In addition to his King Mackerel Tournament fishing experience, he has also fished the Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament, as well as many Flounder and Red Drum tournaments. During the spring, summer and early fall, Captain Robert specializes in inshore fishing for Flounder, Trout, Red Drum, Black Drum, Sheepshead and many other inshore species. Captain Robert’s experience ranges from inshore backwater fishing to trolling for Pelagic fish in the Gulf Stream, and everything in between. No matter what type of fishing you want to do, Captain Robert has the knowledge and experience to make your trip an adventure you will never forget.
A U.S.C.G. fully insured licensed captain with fifteen years fishing experience in the Cape Fear region, Captain James specialized in nearshore and offshore fishing trips, using his experience as a charter captain and commercial fisherman to track and locate fish. As a captain, he enjoys helping his clients catch fish that they have never caught before or to set a new personal best. Captain James also enjoys teaching techniques and explaining the reasons behind where he fishes and how he fishes.
