May 25, 2017: Great experience. Caught huge fish. Bitten all day. No better deal for your $$$
July 25, 2016: We booked an inshore fishing trip with Capt. Robert and had a great afternoon of fishing. Boat is immaculate and equipment is all in great shape. Robert is very knowledgeable of the area, water, tides and fish. He was right on top of helping with baiting our hooks, netting the fish, helping with snags and right down to getting my brother fresh drinks from his cooler. lol. The boat ride in and out of the fishing area was fun as well. Robert even filleted the fish for us when we were done. We will be booking with Robert next year for sure!
May 27, 2017: Robert was a great captain for an inshore trip. He knew the water like the back of his hand and took us to all of his honey holes. We landed some nice fish on a day when nobody else was catching much of anything. Can't wait to come back and do an offshore trip with him.
August 26, 2017: Captain Robert is knowledgeable about fishing in Oak Island. Our foursome of friends fished offshore and in the back waters off Oak Island. We caught flounder, shark, and a few other fish. It was a safe, clean boat fully equipped with everything needed for a productive fishing trip. Captain Robert kept everyone's pole with bait, played pleasant music, and shared local tales. His enthusiasm for the sport and beauty of the area was definitely contagious. The trip included an exciting boat ride and ended with our fish cleaned, gutted, and filleted for our cooking ease. We are definitely scheduling future trips. It is a must do island outing!
June 4, 2017: After working 21 straight days and exhausted I decided to leave the house and take a break. Fishing!!!! Yay. Hired a babysitter and a friend took us out on his boat. After putting the boat in we were heading to look for bait to throw the nets. We spotted some pogey but kept missing them. A young man in his boat was getting plenty. He got close enough to tell us hang on I will get you some bait. In one cast we had plenty. We thanked him. Then he asked what we were fishing for? I said I want to catch a flounder. He told us where to go. Then told us where spots were for different fish. Then offered to go out on our boat with us one day if we wanted and he would show us good fishing spots. Turns out he was raised on Oak Island and has a fishing charter business. So those who ask about Charter fishing. Here you go. One of the nicest strangers I've ever met. I hope my son would be this kind to his fellow fisherman. And I caught a flounder.
July 17, 2016: We had an amazing time with Capt. Robert fishing as a family with 4 generations!
